A district city of 40,000, administrational, cultural and social center of the region, 60km from the Moravian metropolis Brno and 150km from Vienna.


  • The oldest record of Třebíč dates from 1101 - the year when the Benedictine Order founded their monastery here.
  • St. Procopus Basilica (1240-1260) - one of the most prominent Romanesque-Gothic buildings in Europe.
  • Zamosti - the best-preserved Jewish town in Central Europe with two synagogues (front and back) and Jewish cementary.
